Mazarron is a coastal municipality which borders Lorca, Cartagena, Fuente Alamo, Alhama de Murcia and Totana, with a multinational population of around 35,000 inhabitants.  Its history is inextricably linked with its two greatest assets, the sea, which gives 35 kms of unspoilt beaches and a fishing industry and its mineral wealth.  The mines of Mazarron exploited first by the Romans and then subsequent generations, reaching their zenith in the 19th century.

The beaches of Puerto de Mazarron and Bolnuevo are just a 6 minute drive from Mazarron Town.  The nearest golf course is 7 minutes and the airport of San Javier (Murcia) is 45 minutes with Alicante airport 70 minutes drive.
