A Place InThe Sun will feature one of Villaquest properties on their programme being aired on the 23rd of February on Channel 4 at 11am. They contacted us towards the end of last year asking for a selection of properties to show to their house hunters. This is the video leaked on You Tube for the Paramount Studios Theme Park in Murcia. It shows the artist impressions for the various attractions intended for the park and the prospect looks very exciting.
This will boost the holiday homes and rental properties in the area as 3 million extra visitors per year are expected to flood into Murcia – by plane to the new Corvera International airport, high speed rail links and new motorways.
Paramount Theme Park is set to open in 2015 with work due to commence Spring next year. Costing around 1 Billion Euros the park will be the largest in Europe and will boast huge attractions for adults and children.

We have recently heard that the local Town Hall has finally granted permission for a Water Park in the Mazarrón area. This has been in the pipeline for a number of years but we believe the location has now been decided and the local licence approved. There may be a long process ahead before we see the Water Park reach fruition but we shall provide updates as and when we hear the news.
With the Paramount Theme Park proposals forging ahead and now the Water Park, Mazarrón seems set to be the place to live or to own a property in the near future. Have a look at some of the great bargain properties we have on offer in the area and take advantage of the current low prices. |

Good news for those purchasing new build properties as the Spanish tax has been cut from 8% down to 4%. It covers most properties that are now completed and ready for occupation. The normal tax of 7% still applies to re-sale properties.

Construction of Paramount’s new Theme Park in Murcia will begin in March 2012 according to the latest reports.
After signing agreements that specified the exact location of 600,000m2 plot within the Sierra Alhama area of Murcia, the region’s mayor Fernando Alfonso Ceron stated that construction will begin in March of next year after a presentation of the final plans in September.
This news will please property investors who expect to see significant growth in the area over the next few years. The region of Murcia has seen significant interest from prospective property investors since the announcement of the park several months ago. As the plans move a step closer to the actual creation of the park, investors are expected to start buying.
As a result, holiday homes in the Murcia region are gaining high levels of demand while prices are still low. Property investors expect to capitalize on the regions rising popularity over the next few years thanks to increasing property prices.
